So here's yet another attempt to create a blog. This is - what - the third time? I always lose interest. It's like having to keep a journal. I'll go for like a solid 2 years as a faithful journal writer and then write maybe 2 words in a five year span. Oh well - I'll give it another shot!
Since it is that weird time between Christmas Day and New Year's Day I'll detail the kickass gifts I received this year. I am spoiled brat by the way. My gifts almost always rock - especially those I receive from my parents (hello! only child!) and Gaspar. How much do I love my Dark Crystal book? The World of the Dark Crystal: The Collector's Edition by Brian Froud. You can purchase it here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0810945797/qid=1104191359/sr=2-1/ref=pd_ka_b_2_1/103-8201968-4400651
It's all the artwork from The Dark Crystal - one of the most awesome movies of all time.
Got lotsa books - the Chicago movie book which I didn't even know existed - has almost the entire screenplay in it. It's beautiful. "The Princess Bride" which I read back in junior high and have been dying to re-read. Also Steve Martin's latest: "The Pleasure of My Company." One of my all-time favorite books is his novella, "Shopgirl," currently in the process of being turned into a film. But I digress...
Gaspar got me some awesome t-shirts! An anime-like Princess Leia with the quote "somebody's got to save our skins", a Cheshire Cat tee that says "i'm not all there" and a black tee with the words "my record collection can beat up your record collection." Woo hoo!
Other cool stuff - a really pretty Celtic necklace from my parents, fuzzy outdoor flip flops from Edgar, Dane Cook's CD/DVD, Drop Dead Fred on DVD. I'm severely spoiled.
Gaspar and have not left our basement apartment today. Just chilling on the couch, watching Seinfeld (gave him the box sets for Xmas), playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Speaking of gifts - if anyone feels extra generous and would like to get Gaspar and I presents for no good reason (maybe some rich guy is looking around the internet bored and wanting to spend money on total strangers?) check out our wish lists on amazon.com:
