So a lady comes into my store today and tries on what seems like 50 watches - it was definitely 7 or 8 - and says she can't decide which one she wants. Then she takes out a Macy's Gift Card and says she wants to pay for her watch with it. I explain to her that it's a gift card for Macy's and that she can only use it in their store. So she tells me there is a Macy's in the mall so she should be able to use it at our store. What the ...?! I explain it's a credit card and she knows that, and explain all the reasons why that doesn't make any sense and blah di blah. She then becomes totally ridiculous and absolutely outraged that I won't take her gift certificate! I swear customers get crazier by the day.
Gaspar just left for work. Anytime I talk to him before he goes or while he's at work I tell him I love him and to be careful. Call me superstitious.
Has anyone else watched that new show "Committed"? How completely hilarious is this show! Finally a new show to watch - as if 40 hrs of space on our TiVo isn't enough. Hah! I hope the writing holds up. It was fresh, original and insanely funny.
Another new show I am obsessed with - god I love TV! - is "How Clean Is Your House?" on Lifetime (the only show on that network I'll ever swallow my pride for to watch.) I love the two British ladies, Kim and Aggie, and how they step into these really disgusting homes and pick up dead bugs, smell the carpets, touch the slime on year-old dirty dishes. Total guilty pleasure. Plus when our house is cluttered it makes me happy that I am disorganized but not gross and nasty like the people Kim and Aggie have to deal with. It inspires me to clean the house and laugh.
Continuing on the TV thread, I'm watching today's "One Life To Live" (thank you TiVo!) as I write this. What the hell is going on with Cristian? Is he really Cristian come back from the dead or an imposter? And are they ending this Todd kidnap story anytime soon? It's enough already! And is Jessica losing it? I have stayed true to my resolution to not visit any soap spoiler sites and I'm going crazy!
Off to watch the rest of OLTL to find out.
