Is there any such thing? There should be!
So Gaspar and I have finally escaped the dungeon that was our disgusting hole in the ground basement apartment. FREE! I feel like we served a year's sentence for some unknown crime. I didn't realize just how much we truly hated that place until we left.
Strange enough we weren't even looking to move exactly. We knew we didn't want to stay in the hole in the ground but figured we'd stick it out and save some money while we were there. Then things just fell into place and now we live in a normal apartment. With rooms! And doors! And windows!
Even though we haven't seen much of each other since we moved (opposite schedules and all) I can tell we are going to be much happier now. Not that we were UNhappy. But I didn't realize how much living in an enviroment like that effects you. Boomshanka and Dylan are happier, too.
That said, the week leading up to us moving for good was AWFUL. This is the fourth place I've lived in in four years. I am done moving. I can't take it anymore. I'm sure Dylan is done with it, too. As my Mom and Aunt Margie reminded me - moving ranks up there in the top 3 most stressful life situations. Seriously, it's up there with death and career changes. I believe it. Gaspar and I don't fight much but man we were snapping on each other.
Now we are in the middle of unpacking. Isn't that a pain? I open up a box and I think "Didn't I just pack this friggin thing? And now I'm UNpacking it? Grrrrr..." A whole different kind of stress. I'm working on the kitchen today before I go out. I just drank a Red Bull. Wheeeeeeeeeee!!
Thank you thank you thank you to our lovely wonderful amazing friends that helped us move and paint and spackle. **SMOOCH**
