This weekend, on Saturday September 10th Gaspar asked me to marry him! And of COURSE I said yes!! We were out at the Hamptons and Gaspar's parents took us and our friends Kevin and Tony out to Buckley's Inn Between. Their friend Warren was playing with his band at the bar. After dinner, we went to the bar area and Warren asked what I might want to hear that night. I said I wasn't sure and he asked if I liked Eric Clapton. And I said anything by Clapton is great! So a couple of songs later, Warren begins playing "Wonderful Tonight."
Now this should have been a HUGE hint because Gaspar and I danced to this sing at my Sweet Sixteen (13 years ago!!) It was the first song we ever danced to. So Gaspar said, "You know we haven't danced to this since you turned 16. Let's dance." STILL I had no clue. I just thought he was being sweet and romantic (which of course he was!) but I had no idea about his intent.
Then asked me if I loved him and answered "Of course!" And then he asked "Forever?" And I answered "Yes forever!" AND THEN HE GOT DOWN ON ONE KNEE!!!!! He was beaming and smiling. I instantly started shaking and crying and put my hands over my mouth. I was couldn't believe it! I was so happy!!! He opened the box, showed me the ring and said "Will you marry me?" I was shaking and in so much shock Gaspar actually had to say "Please say something!" and I finally said "Yes! Yes! Yes!" It was a blur and amazing and beautiful and romantic and great!
Gaspar is the most amazing man and I feel lucky every day of my life that we are together.

It's about time!!!! That Eric Clapton song always reminded me of you guys and I never knew why. Now I know. I was there when you first danced to it. My memory is funny that way. Jessie always says I remember the oddest things. I am so happy for the both of you. Bruce, Ryan and I only wish you the best. Marriage is wonderful. You get to spend the rest of your life with your best friend. What's better than that? Mazel Tov!!!!!
