Meeting Renee Goldsberry at The Baker's Wife

Mom and I have been big fans of Renee Elise Goldsberry ever since she started appearing on our soap opera One Life to Live portraying one of favorite characters, Evangeline Williamson. We've met her a couple of times at the OLTL fan event Girls Night Out. She is every bit as sweet and gracious as she appears. Sadly, Renee is no longer with the show but we have continued to be big fans.

This weekend Renee starred in the title role in The York Theatre's "Musicals In Mufti" staging of The Baker's Wife. I took Mom to yesterday's matinee for her birthday. It was a wonderful experience, great story, superb cast, and of course Renee was fantastic! After the show there was a Q&A talkback with the cast. After that we walked up to Renee along with a group of lovely ladies that are also big fans. Well it was more than we could have ever hoped for! Renee stayed and chatted with us for about an hour about the show, One Life, what she's been up to, anything at all. It was a really special day and a great gift to my Mom for her birthday.

Thanks you also to the ladies who we shared this experience with. You were are all so sweet and fun to meet.
