Happy 154th Birthday McSorley's

One of the oldest pubs in New York is McSorley's Old Ale House in the East Village. How old? 154 years old! Dad and I have been huge fans of this place and Mom is a recent convert. Home to many literary and poltical giants of the past hundred plus years, it's covered in saw dust (and regular dust), old newspaper articles, police hats and firemen helmets, and photographs. This is the place where you order your beer either Light or Dark - and they come two at a time. (Ask for a Bud Light and you'll be seeing the door.) If you go, don't skip the cheese and crackers and make sure you try the mustard. Dad and I recently enjoyed a few on their 154th birthday on Feb 17th.
