This American Life

I am a latecomer to this show. But I have been listening to This American Life either on NPR but mostly via their podcast for about two years. They have been on the air for more than a decade. Ira Glass and a team of contibutors bring us a weekly show they describe this way: "For a long time, This American Life was only a radio show, one with a hard-to-describe sound, millions of listeners, and a bunch of awards. There's a theme to each episode, and a variety of stories on that theme. It's mostly true stories of everyday people, though not always. There's lots more to the show, but, like we said, it's sort of hard to describe."

Check out episodes for FREE at their site: http://thisamericanlife.org/ Or subscribe to the weekly podcast on Itunes.

They are also about to begin their second season of their television show on Showtime. I added a widget on the right hand side of this blog. Just click on it and it will bring you to the TV's show site.

And even more exciting, on May 1st, This American Life is broadcasting a live show in movie theaters across the country. More info and tix here:
