Tonight, Gaspar and I with my mom and dad are going out to Westbury for a wedding showcase. It's being held at the wedding site/reception hall with all of their affiliated vendors and stuff. Since the wedding is only 6 months away and there are still about a million things to get done I am hoping this will kick our butts and get us moving again.
This is a weird transitional time because there are a lot of things that we want to get done but it's too early - invitations is one example. Then there are others that are way overdue! Aaarrgghh! At first Gaspar wasn't going to be able to make it but things worked out so he could. Maybe he will see just how much there is to get done when he sees a hall full of vendors - florists, photographers, etc. and we'll get some stuff done.
I'm preparing my store for the holiday season as much as I can. Inventory is over, just got a new shipment in. A little remerchandising and we should be good to go. I have a full staff (knock on wood - I hope I didn't just jinx that) and may hire a seasonal part-timer. The office is having a brief holiday meeting and then we should be fully prepared.
Guess that's it for now. I have more to say but not enough time to write it all now. More later. :o)
