Finally have a few minutes to myself to type up a quick post! Work and the wedding still dominate most of my time these days. I can't believe we are getting married in just a little over a month! It seems pretty unreal. When you know someone as long as I kow Gaspar, it's pretty amazing to think that the guy that made fun of me on the bus on the way to high school was going to be my husband one day!
BRIDAL SHOWER
My family and bridal party threw me the most amazing surprise bridal shower. It was gorgeous! And so many wonderful friends and family attended and enjoyed the day with us. It was broadway themed (do Meli and the girls know me or what?) complete with Tony Award chocolate bars, a CD with Broadway love songs with a Playbill theme, and the mpst stunning ceneterpieces I could ever imagine. The girls, my Mom and mother-in-law created centerpieces based on a Broadway show. There was a Wicked table, Chorus Line table, Spelling Bee table, Spamalot, The Wedding Singer, and Rocky Horror. They looked amazing with so much detail - wow! My words cannot do them justice. I will have photos soon and post them all.
I just want to thank everyone for all their hard work and creativity. It was a day I will never forget and I feel so lucky to have such an incredible group of people who love me and Gaspar and are always there for us. THANK YOU!!!!
IN THE HEIGHTS
And it wouldn't be a blog post if I didn't plug my latest musical theater obsession. This time the show is off Broadway. It's an incredible show of Broadway sized proportions called IN THE HEIGHTS. There is a quick YouTube video posted below. It's written by the immensely gifted Lin-Manuel Miranda wo also stars in it along with a cast of over twenty people! Huge cast with talent to match. The music is vibrant, beautiful, fresh and new. GO SEE IT!!!!
