Last month was kind of crazy. Lots and lots of soul searching as far as the job goes and working working working all the time. Barely seeing my friends, family and Gaspar. Trying to squeeze everything into limited time off while making a lot of decisions. I'll elaborate more soon.
So! By this time next year, Gaspar and I will be married! YAY! It finally dawned on him that we have a lot of planning to do. On April 29th when I told him "Happy Getting Married This Time Next Year Day!" he said "Wow. We've got a lot to do." I was so happy to hear him say that. Gaspar thinks there isn't all that much to do when it comes to planning a wedding. He thinks, you book a hall, send out a few invites and the rest pretty much comes together. I think it will be a true test of one's sanity. Somewhere between our two opposite extremes lies the truth of how the planning will be. It will be more complex than he thinks and easier than I think.
Misc stuff - I did not see a single Broadway or Off Broadway show last month! BOOOOO! Though oh my how I tried. I took the day off to brave the lotto line at the Rent 10th Anniversary benefit performance. I lost. Along with about 2000 other people. Let me backtrack - my Rent obsession is well documented here so no need to go into detail there. The end of April saw the celebration of the show's 10th anniversary on Broadway. To commemorate the occasion, the ORIGINAL CAST reunited and performed the show at the Nederlander theater in it's entirety. WOW! And keeping with tone of the show's spirit - even though it was a benefit where tickets were hundreds and thousands of dollars, they still had $20 lotto seats for the first two rows. So I had to try my luck. A couple thousand other people tried too. I knew it was a longshot but I had to at least try.
I have more to say but I'm off to work. Plehhhhhhhhhhhhh...
