Thank you to the anonymous comment poster re. Idina's fall during what turned out to be her last performance of Wicked. (Sorta.) I'm a big fan of her standby and now new full-time Elphaba, Shoshana Bean, as well as Idina. She had to finish up the Saturday matinee, do the Sat evening performance and Sunday's matinee - which was supposed to be Idina's final performance. Quite a task for Shoshana and how unfortunate for Idina.
In a surprise appearance, Idina did take the stage on Sunday, appearing on stage where she left off when she was injured towards the end of the show. And she finished up the show. I am so glad she was able to do that.!
Photos of Idina's last can be found here:

I have a week off in February, I don't have exactly enough to really go anywhere but I have some cash saved. So I'm going to go to a show almost every night. I'm going to give Wicked lotto a shot at least 2x because I really would like to see Shoshana as Elphaba (had the good fortune to see Idina 4x.) Would also like to try general rush at Little Women since Sutton Foster was out when I went to see it.
The sadist in me - because I am 99% sure these shows will be extremely lame - wants to see "All Shook Up" and "Good Vibrations." But as someone that loathes "Mamma Mia" I don't think either of these will have me running to see them anytime soon.
There *IS* "Brooklyn" but the plot is so silly and unbelievable. But maybe it will be worth sitting through just to see Eden Espinosa. She hits notes that give me goosebumps. She has a truly great voice.
I still want to see "Twelve Angry Men" especially since the run was extended. Gaspar likes plays a lot so maybe we can try and catch that one together.
But my #1 pick is "Spamalot"!! It will be open by then (in previews) and I have been looking forward to this ever since they announced plans to stage it. Monty Python as done by Tim Curry, David Hyde Pierce, and Hank Azaria? How can you go wrong? You can't! Gotta buy a ticket for that one asap.
I don't know why I am not that psyched about seeing La Cage. I didn't see the original staging and I enjoyed the film. I adore Gary Beach as well. But there's just something that doesn't have me all that excited to see it and I can't put my finger on it.
Finally for Broadway I must see "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"! I have had enough of movies into musicals BUT I cannot resist seeing Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott on Bway again - especially in the same show.
But there isn't just Broadway, there's Off-Broadway too! "Bug"! It will be closed by the time my vacation comes but hopefully I can catch it before it's gone. Then there's "Fat Pig" but I heard it's sold out, "Slava's Snowshow", and I'll sadly likely miss "The Foreigner."
I guess that's it for now. This theater season looks to be shaping up to be stronger than last season. There are several more shows I'd like to see that are planned for later in the season but that's a whole other entry. :o)
